favorite projects

Here are some of my favorite projects so far.  Enjoy!

Book Page Covered File Cabinet – Have a rusty old file cabinet around that’s functional, just not beautiful?  I faux-co-paged old book pages on mine to give it a fresh, new look.

Hutch Turned TV Stand – I pulled apart a nothing-special-under-utilized hutch and added painted stripes, numbers and some twine and turned her into a tv stand.

Number Art Canvas – I painted over a canvas I bought at Goodwill and, using a few fancy fonts as templates, hand painted a few dates that are important to us.

DIY Canvas Silhouettes – A tutorial about how I took 2 floral canvases bought at Goodwill and turned them into silhouettes of my pooches without using any vinyl or Cameo/Silhouette machine.  The guys only cost $2 a piece.  In one week this became my most viewed post to date!  Thanks y’all!

The Nitty Gritty Hanging Details – A step by step tutorial about how I made a gallery wall with 19 different components all hanging from one screw in the wall.
The One Screw Gallery Wall Reveal – lots of pictures of my favorite details on the wall.

Pallet Word Art – I tore apart a pallet, stenciled some words I love on the slats, put it back together and hung it up.  This is the 3rd most viewed project…click here to see the second place, runner up, always the bridesmaid post.  🙂

Personalized Map Dresser – cover dresser drawers with maps printed from images found online.  I used maps of areas that are important to me and stenciled the location names lightly over.  The handles I made out of braided twine.

Dog Bone Ornaments – made out of egg carton mush, you can make any shape you like.

Wedding Card Ornament – you really could do this project with any greeting card or maybe even photos.

Driftwood Christmas Trees – or maybe you have an ample supply of branches you could use.
